 Review of Splash Mountain @ Magic Kingdom

This ride is another one of those "untouchable" rides over at the Magic Kingdom. Based on Disneys lesser known animated masterpiece "Song of the South" (which hasnt been released on VHS or DVD since the 1980s) this ride remains a classic in its own rite.
This one of Magic Kingdoms longer rides lasting about 10 minutes. The drops are a lot of fun and the characters are charming (as in the movie).
Is it worth waiting over an hour for? Probably not. Id say get a fast pass for this one and dont wait over 30 minutes. The best time to ride this is at night when the lines are short (usually because of a parade or something).
Will the kids like it? If they are okay with big drops or rides like Thunder Mountain and Space Mountain they should be fine.
So, in short, a very fun ride and one of the best at the Magic Kingdom. A must see. I give this ride a 10 out of 10.

Nice review. I dont think this is the Mouse Houses longest attraction, though. American Adventure, Killimanjaro Safari + Energy Adventure all go longer than 10 minutes (and probably others, too).

I think Splash Mountain might be the longest (not sure if a whole circuit on the Walt Disney World Railroad is longer), but Its a Small World seems longer than 10 minutes if you know what I mean.

I actually like Its a Small World. Its demented enough to be my kind of attraction, and I always laugh when I see the some of the stereotypes that ride still has. Its 2007 and Disney apparently still believes in the idea that Asians have slanty eyes and pointy hats.
