Review of Pirate Ship @ Canobie Lake Park
1 Rating Posted by: Canobie Coaster on 8/18/2007 8:55:00 AM
Very poor swinging ship in my opinion. This has a gigantic boat and therefore has a very high capacity and is one of the few rides at Canobie that is always a walk-on. The boat looks great as well, with the characters and the fountain around the ride. As a side note, this was the first swinging ship I had been on in ten years after a bad experience at a carnival that scared the heck out of me and I was expecting the worst. I ended up getting a forceless ride that had no sensations, height, or speed at all. The cycle was decent though, but just I was really disappointed by this ship.

despite catching it on a bad day. The Cycle is on the short size as are allot of the rides in the park. Dont really know why on rides like this were Hourly capacity isnt a problem. but dose catching a bad ride really merit a 7 point deduction.

I didnt really find the forces that strong (Ive mentioned this before) and there was no air-time. Also, the short cycle hurts the rides rating too. Honestly, I found the ride boring. I certainly will give this another chance next time I go to Canobie and will raise the rating if the ride is better.

The ride time really isnt any shorter then most Pirate ship rides. but its a taler ship and takes longer to get to Full hight. I did however notice on my last trip that only one of the tires were activating. so the ride is operating on High power. still got more sensation then you indicated.
