 Review of Trained Bear Show @ Clarks Trading Post

The layout of the cage and arena is well done. You can see from just about every position. Unfortunately there is very little shade (this definitely detracted from the show on the rather hot day I was there). The biggest disappointment came when the bears did not seem to want to perform, they just strolled around the cage and didnt listen to the trainer. Maybe it was breading season... (?) Anyway, this show seems to have gotten good reviews in the past, so I may have hit them on a bad day. Also, my sister has seen the show in the past with a similar problem but not quite as bad. My only warning is to be prepared as it seems to be hit-or-miss. I wouldnt make any special trips.

There are elements of the show were the bears are trains to basicly to a trick at that time despite what is being spoken. they will also set up gags like food by the gate and work with that. depending on the day the bears can be a bit off. it is a live show and they are animals. Definitely sounds like you got the bears on a bad day. Give it another shot. Like mrceagle said, these are animals and its a live show so anything can happen.

My usual mantra is “I’ll do anything twice”, but in this case I think I’ll pass since there are many other half-day excursions available in the area that I have never been to. The odds are that I wouldn’t hit another “off day”, but if I did the disappointment would be more than I could Bear.

I like your sense of Humor towards it. but I hope you change your mind. The Clarks Family works hard to offer a good day and there are some down sides of there attraction. But they have been upgrading allot lately and trying to make everyones experience better.
