As a general fan of swinging ship rides, I almost always enjoy a ride on the Joker. Ive seen other pirate ship rides that swing higher and deliver more airtime, but this one is well-themed and makes a good family ride. Kids almost always seem to enjoy it because it delivers some thrills without being too scary for them. I therefore highly recommend the Joker to families with children. Id rate this a 6-7 for thrill seekers and a 9-10 for kids and families, so Ill average it out to an 8.
Update: After riding on 7/2/07, I will have to deduct some points from my original rating because the ride cycle was ridiculously short. It only performed one swing at full height, which is unacceptable for a pirate ship ride.
