Review of Hydra the Revenge @ Dorney Park

Hydra the Revenge was my first floorless coaster, and I absolutley loved it. The inital jojo roll provides a great weightless sensation, and it can be a little frightening for first time riders as you literally dangle from your seat. The first drop down the hill is fantastic and is quite and fast. From then on, the ride just throws the elements at you, one after another. The pacing is fantastic, and the ride NEVER lets up. I cant even point out my favorite element, because they were all equally awesome and intense. While riding in the front seat on Hydra is simply the best, the other seats on the ride are great as well, unlike on an inverted coaster. Seating on an end in any row provides for a fantastic ride with the forces and laterals being applied much higher. Hydra may be a smaller looking ride, but its sheer intensity and pacing make it one of the best that Ive been on. It reminded me of another one of my favorites, Raptor at Cedar Point, because of how relentless it is. This is definitely a must-ride!

Good review. You explained Hydra with an immense amount of details & Im glad that you enjoyed the many elements Hydra: the Revenge has despite its compact size. However, I feel as if the coaster fizzles out too much at the end & thats why I dont feel that its as relentless as you brought it out to be, but I really respect your opinions nevertheless. You always describe your ride experiences perfectly & its been a pleasure to read your reviews. Keep it up.

I agree...good review, but I didnt feel the non-stop-action that youre talking about either haha

I just dont get the "never lets up" comment. It is decently paced through the first half, but it does nothing to take my breath away and really doesnt do anything to keep my senses in full overload.
