Review of Ninja, The @ Six Flags Over Georgia
0 Rating Posted by: TOGO_Fan on 6/9/2001 9:42:00 PM
Well, being a Vekoma, I LOVE Vekomas. I have never in my life seen a rough Vekoma. I have seen a cramped one, but not a rough one. Tis ride is so amazing even though it was relocated. I love the Butterfly in the begining. It gives me mega airtime and that flying feeling. The Sidewinder was very in your seat type of thing. The two corkscrews at the end are airtime all the way. I enjoyed this ride. Also, the ride has pacing and a lot of scares with all of the supports coming so close. For lack of a better word, it was great. My final ratings are: Design - 8, Themeing - 3, Fun Factor - 8, Re-Ride - 8, Intensity - 7, Scare Factor - 8, Originality - 7. My finalk score is...7, which ronded is a 7. Thanks For Listening. I know a rough vekoma, the one at SFNE [mind eraser] although when it opened it was not. vekoma coasters are refered to as hang and bangs. although I do enjoy them.

coasterrd, just a question, do you personally track down every reveiw Ive made and reply to them, its just kind of weird, when one reveiw gets like 40 posts a new one gets 1 and from you. Guess I am paranoid or something. TOGO_Fan

My daughter had a headache after this ride because her head was banged aroung so much. Needs some serious work. Lots of good elements, but not put together so well.

Its the trains, not the ride itself. The trains screw up the whole experience for your daughter. TOGO_Fan

the train didnt screw up my experience at all

its both the trains, the design, and the type of track. Tracks with tubular spines tend to give a rougher ride, especially when the trains side friction wheels r inside the rails. The design of it doesnt look to pretty either. The corkscrews and the butterfly look too tight for a train that isnt articulated. Also, the train itself has horsecollar restraints which make it hard to breathe when your enduring heavy g-forces.

^Good analysis B&M, and so true. I myself have believed that the location of the wheels is one of the main reasons for the roughness.

i didnt notice much roughness on this and for a more traditional looper i thought it was good. course i was also having such a great day at that park that almost nothing could bring me down

It may depend where you sit. On Ninja, I love the back seats, and you can breace yourself to get a decent ride, but I went three weeks ago with someone who insisted on the front row, and I was absolutely amazed at the difference: I was in pain, she was in pain and I had never had as rough of a ride on a steel coaster, not even Python at Busch Gardens, so I am probably going to ride it again this weekend at the Season Passholders Day, just to test it again before I change my review.

First of all, almost every Vekoma, or any ride with OSTRs are going to be rough. Second of all, I dont know where you got this "mega" airtime from. There is not one bit of airtime on this coaster. And third of all, the only inversion that gives you any airtime is a Zero-G Roll.

Oh, and stop lying about the rides you have been on.
