 Review of Roman Rapids @ Busch Gardens Williamsburg

By far the worst water ride in the park. It does have nice theming and you will get wet but they just dont know how to operate it well enough. They had one raft going through the turntable at a time meaning it was way over an hour wait.

Im a bit Curious to what rapids rides you have been on if you consider this short. Its faster then some which makes the Cycle time a bit less but lengthwise its a bit above average.

i have been on kali river at animal kingdom which is also on the shorter side but atleast it doesnt take a half hour to get back onto the turn table. roman rapids is just so poorly operated, the turn table is to small for the amount of rafts they have going, it needs refurbished badly or torn down so they can put up a newer, better river rapid ride. it is old i will give it that but le scoot is old and it is flawless as far as log rides go. roman rapids is by far the worst ride in the park no question. a major theme park like busch gardens europe should not be allowed to have such a bad version of this type of ride.

Surprisingly you spent little time on the Ride experience and themeing. The turn table and lift time is no different then other Raft rides from its period. its far better then others like Raging River at The Great escape, Thunder River at SFOG, Congo Rapids at SFGAdv, etc. The end wait, lift, and load time is about the same as all the original set ups. are you going to give a lower rating just because they were built before Hopkins introduced a rapids ride with the lift at the beginning. Which is actually around the same speed.

SFOG is one of the Original parks and far more of a theme park them SFI has become known for. The themeing on Roman Rapids is fantastic. The particularly like the aqueducts section I personally got soaked along with half my boat by the broken and cracked sections of it. thing is i dont see Busch or any of the parks with a first gen Rapids ride reworking the ride from a turn style to a more modern conveyor system. Mostly do to the extreme work that would be needed to construct a station in the lower trough. But you complain about the length and its average length. Just because its BGW doesnt mean it should be twice as long.
