This Giant Wheel wasnt quite as good as the one at Six Flags Darien Lake, mostly because it just wasnt as giant. Its a slow-moving wheel that can fit an entire group in its round bucket-shaped seats. You can get a pretty good view of some of the nearby attractions (the Comet, the Alpine Bobsled, the river raft ride), but because the trees are so dense at the Great Escape, you cant see all the way across the park. (This isnt a complaint, just a general comment, as being in a forest is a great setting for a theme park.) The wheel was also nice during my visit in that we were able to hop right on without the usual lengthy wait that ferris wheels require. Of course, we didnt really wait for anything that day, so this may not always be the case.
