Review of Lightning Racer @ Hersheypark

The Lightning Racer is a beautiful coaster, the station is clean and well designed. But the ride its self is very forceless and the tunnel was a joke. With its twisted layout, you would think this ride would have a lot of nice lateral forces, but I just couldnt seam to find any. It also doesnt help that it had those damn Millennium Flyer trains, the restraints are not comfortable at all. Plus having the Wild Cat just a few steps away, doesnt help this coasters sub par ride.

Well you are certainly in a class of your own complaining about Millennium Flyers - but to each his own

If those restraints CRUSH your legs you are either a massive pansy or you are a HUGE human being.

As far as your faults with the rides I see some very valid points. I dont agree, but I can understand where they come from.

I dont know everytime we hit the bottom of the hill the orange part of the lapbar slamed down in the my lap, I have to hold on to it.

I dont see how thoes trains hurt you. On ozark wild cat at celebration city it was perfect. Gave enought open space and at the same time gave a safe thrilling ride experence. In the ptc trains i felt crampt but otherwise there ok. Besides ptc trains cant do complex twisting manouvers like the flier trains can.

To me, I think that Millennium Flyers are the best wooden coaster trains ever. The whole experiences so open & the fact that all you haves a T-shaped lap bar that gives you so much rooms why many people favor them. I dont see how those type of lapbars could possibly crush anybodys legs.
