Review of Fun Town Fire Academy @ Legoland

This was one of the most creative, enjoyable, and addicting attractions at Legoland. There are four fire trucks lined up in a row. Your group gets loaded into one and you have to pump the controls up and down to get your truck to move down the road of about fifty feet or so. At the end of the stretch is a building that is "on fire." You have to jump out of the truck, aim the hose at your fire, and then pump the hydrant up and down in order to shoot water and extinguish it. Once done, jump back in the truck and pump your way back to the starting point. This would be neat by itself, but once you throw in the aspect of racing against three other teams, it becomes really fun. And peoples competitive natures definitely came out. I saw trucks full of adult men with not a child to be found giving it all their might to win! And it really is quite a workout. Along these same lines, a group of small children would probably not be able to handle the physical aspects of this ride all by themselves. So my recommendation is to load your truck with as many adults and children as possible, divide up the labor so everyone has a specified job, and then leave everyone else eating your dust.
