I also think the criticism of this show is overblown. It is not Disneys best, but I enjoyed the show. I think part of the problem is that it is right next to one of Disneys best shows, Festival Of The Lion King. If you try to compare it to that, you will be disappointed. Otherwise, it is a nice little show if you give it half a chance.
