Review of Goliath @ Six Flags Magic Mountain

I personally prefer the B&M hypers and the Intamin hypers. This coaster became very boring after the mid course brakes. The first drop is another story. Amazing view from the top. The drop is 61 degrees virtually the whole way down (not like the drop on Millennium Force where it is 80 degrees for a small portion of the drop), and the tunnel looks like a wormhole from all the way up there. But like I said, I got bored after the brakes and the helix is not as intense as people say. Good ride and very good for Giavanola.

I will agree, after the massive drop into the black out zone, it loses some intensity, exitement, speed, momentum etc...but every coaster engineer or owner hopes the first drop is the best.

Millenium Force is still memorable and better (hills and drop are better than brakes), but due to the processing speed of Magic Mountains Goliath, there is no way that it can be a "6."
