Review of Millennium Force @ Cedar Point

People have to stop and talk about this ride the way it is. It is so overrated it makes me sick reading some of these reviews. The first drop is not that great, although it seems like it would be. The ride doesnt have that much to offer other than pure speed if thats your thing. Im all about airtime and there are only two times where there is a little bit of air. Very disappointing overall, and only has speed to offer. The height is breathtaking, but the drop just doesnt deliver. The fact that this ride was so innovative with an elevator lift system and a 80 degree drop with record breaking (at the time) speed and height. This ride is good, dont get me wrong, and an 8 is as very fair score IMO.

Well IMO airtime is by far the most insanely overated thing by coaster enthusiests. Airtimes great and all but nothing is better than losing your stomach on a 300 ft drop followed by insane speed. Its a much greater feeling IMHO. Ill take a steep plummet over airtime any day of the week.

heh.. chicks sure dont love speed in some cases... so do you like MF cause it reminds you of home? You know - quick to rise, really quick in duration, and its over before you know it without any sort of "WOW!!" moments.

Ill have to say that I am kinda over MF. When it first opened, I could not believe this ride. I thought the drop was totally amazing, and the rest was exhilarating if only for the speed. However, once youve done it a few times there is very little to keep you coming back. Not much airtime, and wide-open turns that are not very interesting. Aside from the sheer speed, this coaster has nothing on more varied rides like S:ROS and El Toro. For sheer speed Id rather have a ride on TTD or KK now.

I h8 to tell U this, but I only waited 30 minutes 4 it last week, and the park was busy that morning. TTDs w8 time was well over 1 hour.
