Superman: Ride of Steel, or S:ROS, as it is abbreviated, is definitely the best coaster out there, steel or wooden, and I am proud to have it at my home park, Six Flags New England. I have ridden this gem, at the time of writing, 45 times, and I never get tired of it. From the exhilerating first 217 foot drop to the final tunnel and bunny hills, this coaster still delivers the ultimate ride. The blend of Out and back and twisted layout is balanced perfectly, and the ride is filled with plenty of airtime and awesome helices. The line is usually never long, either, though on a hot summer day, it can reach an hour or more. Most days, especially weekdays, however, the line is rarely more than 10 minutes. The ride ops efficiency is decent, as they tighten the restraints as fast as possible and switch the loose article bins as quickly as possible. I believe Intamin has made the perfect coaster, even with the newer restraints.
