 Review of Doctor Dooms Fearfall @ Islands of Adventure

Kind of a waste. Compared to Tower of Terror, this is really weak. Such an elaborate setup for such a short ride. Its nowhere near as fun as Cedar Points Power Towers Space Shot side, and not as tall either.

Yo Raptor, no offense, but you shouldnt really be comparing Doctor Dooms Fearfall to Tower of Terror because theyre both two totally different ride experiences. Doctor Dooms Fearfalls a smaller version of a standard S&S Tower while Tower of Terrors more of an elevator type of drop ride. We all obviously know that the Tower of Terrors a way better ride than Dr. Dooms Fearfall, but you cant compare them. Besides, Dr. Dooms Fearfall to mes not a waste because its themed heavily with Dr. Doom & it has a nice setup with Dr. Doom giving us a warning about whatll happen to us. Ill admit that Dr. Dooms Fearfalls a small S&S Tower & it cant compete with the likes of Cedar Points Power Tower, but its still a good freefall & another type of unique thrill ride for IOA tourists to ride.

Well, to me it just comes across as Universal trying to pass off a typical theme park ride with absolutely nothing special about it as a "themed adventure", which is what most of Island of Adventure is, really.

I have to agree with both of you. With raptor that it is sorta overhyped (Im SO glad it was a walk on when I went, it would NEVER be worth that long of a queue) and also pretty short. I saw alot of people coming off like "that was it?" but it doest stop those people who would wait over 30 mins for the ride. I also agree that this should NOT be compared to ToT because of very different ride experiences. It would be cool however if maybe there was some more theming on the actual ride of Dr. Doom, like it be taller and maybe more of a tunnel with some flashing lights or something, but it is what it is.

I really think that the basic purpose of both rides is similar enough to compare. Dr. Doom shoots you upwards. Tower of Terror shoots you upwards, downwards, upwards, downwards, upwards, downwards, etc. and is also an excellent dark ride and not just a huge rod in the sky with a themed, loud, annoying queue.
