Review of Corkscrew Coaster @ Canobie Lake Park
0 Rating Posted by: jdale on 11/26/2005 9:27:00 AM
This ride is a bit underrated. Its rough and from the 70s, but I love it for some old reason. It could be the track or classic design. Anyway, I did catch a pop of air on the first drop and thats great because I LOVE airtime. But I must admit that the corkscrews are my favorite parts. (dont ask me why, Im not sure)Usually the turns on Arrow loopers can be quite rough and the one on this one is no exception. But forget the roughness and enjoy the ride as many times as you wish cause there isnt often a line!

This comment is not directed so much at you as at this ride, but I am so GLAD this is not a nine coaster in my world. I mean it has one pop of airtime, you have the cannonball in your park which has lots of airtime, why would this spot even garner some mention. Oh well maybe this is just a New England thing.

Its not that its a New England thing. mayb eit is a little many riders of this coaster will never go to SFNE its a hike to get to Canobie. and even the ones that do its the only inevertign coasataer in Northern NE. SFNE has a few but ytou can get on the Cannonball in less time and have a better ride then Flashback and ME at SFNE. Though it dose get overshadowed by coasters like BAtman and Superman. I havnt beenon any other Arrow Corkscrews but have been on a couple loop Corkscrews and find the cannonball better. At least its well maintained and looks great. better then I can say for many other modles similare.

I know your views on it and I think I understood what you just wrote(I thoughtyou were working on that?). I just think that even if you did not make it too SFNE you would still realize this ride is not a nine or ten. I am really just trying to start a good ride discussion so Jdale dont take it personal.

First, let me just comment to mrceagle; if I cant understand even the first sentence, I am not going to bother reading the rest. Maybe that is my loss, so be it, but what is the point of posting if you arent going to do it in such a way that everyone can understand what you are trying to get across?

The way I look at this review, I figure, for what ever reason, jdale really liked the ride. Would I give it a 9? No, but i have been trending down lately on my reviews, and have been harsher. I figure he explained why he liked it pretty well, even if it doesnt make a whole lot of sense.

Cyclonic I do try to post good comments that ae understandable. Some times It comes across write some times wrong. Coaster05 seemed to be able to figure it out. The point is this review was explained well. I just tried to explain why Canobie sometmes gets good reviews on there rides. If some one grew up going to SFMM all there life Lego land might not look so great. nore might Disney, Bonfonti Gardens, etc. But if you grow up going to one of those parks and later went to SFMM your openions of the rides at the other smaller parks might be higher then if you started out a larger park with more thrill rides. Or maybe you take rides for what they are. I personaly Understand that an Arrow coaster is Rough so I try to give it some lieghway and vote on the rides itself.
