An nice Antique PTC Carousel! This gem, PTC # 39, was originally built in 1916 by the illustrious craftsmen of PTC and opened in Lakewood Park in Atlanta. 38 years ago it was relocated to Lake Winnie and is now housed in a great pavilion sitting on the east shores of the lake. The ride is nice and very long, even matching the best in the amusement industry. The horses were beautiful and easily some of the best I have ever seen. The wood carving looked very good, though slightly worn but nothing too bad. It also featured four rows, something fairly uncommon for the PTCs. The ride was only missing one and a half things: no ring catch (although its rare I really enjoyed it and find all older carousels to be lacking if they dont have one) and their organ wasnt being used, rather, the music was being played through speakers. Overall, a very good carousel worth of an 8.
