Review of Hypersonic XLC @ Kings Dominion

I did not enjoy this at all. The restraints were awkward and painful [they even left dents in my calves that later turned into bruises], it was ROUGH, the launch wasnt that impressive, and it didnt do much at all. This ride was advertised in the park map to be smooth, but from off the ride you could even see the riders shaking back and forth in their seats. The ride itself was nothing impressive and I walked away in a lot more pain than when I got on. The only thing I enjoyed about this ride was taking pictures of it afterwards.

Actually I enjoyed my day at PKD and have nothing against the park. I just didnt think the launch was anything special, maybe I was distracted by the restraints being tightened further before our train launched, but Ive been on several launch coasters and this one was my least favorite by far.

You must have something against proper English.

The back offers the smoothest ride...in the front, you get bumped aroudn brutally

We were in the second row. Guess we shouldve tried the back, but we werent exactly jumping at the chance to give it another go

Then let me be the third... sort of...
I wont say that I wont ride XLC again... but next time I visit PKD, I wont ride it if the rid is even marginally long. Its a one trick pony. The launch is fun, the top is fun, but that is it. After that it is kind of rough and kind of boring. Rode it "once for the count", but nothing makes me want to ride it again (same with Volcano on the other side of the park).

The launch is still by far the most intense of any launch out there, but the rest of the ride is a shadow of its former self. Sometime after the train mods were made this coaster became rough!! If the whole thing was smooth, this would still be a top-notch coaster simply due to its intensity, however the pain you have to put up with after the lauch makes it not worth the wait or the ride.
