Review of Thunderbolt @ Clementon Amusement Park

I search far and wide for good Himalaya/Bob rides. Usually, I walk away disappointed with most of them. Most big chain parks just never know how to run their flats and that clearly evident in how they run these kinds of rides. Enter Clementon to throw something at me that I wasnt expecting - a superior swinging bob ride. I first looked at this and thought, "Eh, just another flat." I was even considering passing it up because I didnt want to be disappointed again. I wondered up to the ride later in my visit and saw that it was a walk-on, so I decided to give it a shot. The lighting was very good and enhanced the experience. It also had a strobe light that really gave the ride an extra something, even if it was not utilized for a long period of time during the ride - it still added something. Then, the announcement came, "Ladies and gentlemen, do not get up, your ride is not over... you will be going backwards." Oh sweet mercy. I was like a little school girl inside. I was overly excited. Backwards we went and it was great, strobe and all. A lot of fun, slightly disorienting, fast - just how I like them. And on top of it all, as a single, the car really rocked hardcore. Great ride and the biggest surprise for me on my trip to the park.

Nice review. They had the same exact thing at Family Kingdom...and it was even called "The Thunderbolt." I wanted to ride it, but I only had time to ride Swamp Fox a few times
