The best of the versions I rode out East but nowhere close to the versions I consider top notch(IB and MIA).

Funtown did a great job to take a normal swinging ship, and theme it. They placed it on a small pond, and have fountains around it.

Funtowns swinging ship didnt seem to run long, last time I went, the week before labor day. Before, it used to run for a long time, and give insane rides.

I hope Funtown makes the Sea Dragon give insane rides again, because it used to be a park favorite, and now people avoid it. Thats very depressing.

The Sea Dragon isnt supposed to be an anchor attraction, it just has to compliment other rides, like Excalibur, Thunder Falls, Dragons Descent, and the Astrosphere.

True but havnign plain rides liek the YoYo dosnt add much to the park. honistly in time they shoudl replace the YoYo with a themed flyign carousel like Canobies and try to get away from teh carnival feel they have.

Most of their rides added in the 1980s and the early 1990s, were carnival flat rides. They need newer rides, that are more unique. Maybe replace the Sea Dragon with a newer swinging ship?

Oops. I think that Funtown should give their swinging ship more theming, to make it more exciting. If they do that, they could make the ride better.

There standard rides and they get normal rider ship. its not like people are skiping them. not to metion themeing dont always mate a ride better. look at some of the rides at SFNE.

Yeah, these rides, like the Sea Dragon, are better than most of Six Flags New Englands flat rides. The Sea Dragon, actually gives riders long cycles, unlike some swinging ships, at other parks.

I wasnt trying to straigt out bash SFNE. I was tryign to prove a point that themeing wont give a ride any more then it has. it may make it a bit more apealing but its ride depends on the park.

Yeah, because some parks dont need theming like Knoebels. Does this Sea Dragon, not have as much as a weightlessness feeling, as other swinging ships in New England?

I did when I last went to this park back in 2003 find the ride to be a bit lacking in that feald. the ride was, at that time, prity fast and offered a long ride.
