Review of Storm Runner @ Hersheypark

After riding Storm runner, I was simply out of breath. Sheer and utter perfection were the only words I was able to think of at the time. The launch literally blew me away and from then on, everything seemed to be just right. You are warned when the launch will begin, but that is still not enough time to prepare yourself. You just go. By the time you realize where you are after getting launched 72 m.p.h. in just 2 seconds, you are tossed over a top-hat. Even though you have OTSRs, you are still rewarded with some excellent airtime at the top. The top-hat leads you right into an Immelman. From then on, you are faced with the heart line rolls. Words cannot describe those inversions. Since the restraints aren’t right up against your chest and stomach like they are on B&Ms, you really float out of your seat and then get thrown back down to the ground because of the flying snake dive. From almost every corner of Hersheypark Storm Runner could be seen amongst the clouds just waiting for you to enjoy the ride of your life.

This is definitely a great ride. Hopefully, well see more launched coasters with creative circuits like this. If it had 1 or 2 more elements, I think it would be perfect.

I went to Hersheypark, but Storm Runner had a very long wait, and I skipped it. I wish I hadnt. That was the worst decision of my life. The ride looked very fun and intense. Maybe I also skipped it because the ride broke down frequently. Whatever the reason, I wish I had ridden it.
