Review of SS Peppermint Twist @ Santas Village

The SS Peppermint Twist is a fun Zamperla Rockin Tug located in the back of the park. With no backround attatched to the ride like the other Rockin Tugs I have been on, this one was painted in Christmas colors (mostly red, green, and snow white). Along the side of the boat, it says "SS Peppermint Twist". The ride fits in pretty well with Santas Villages Christmas theme. The SS Peppermint Twist is always a walk-on because of its good capacity and fast-loading. Up to 24 riders can ride in the SS Peppermint Twist per cycle, with up to 4 people in each of the 6 rows. Once in your row (the ends of the boat are the best seats), a simple bar is lowered, and then the ride begins. You get a good ride cycle. This is like a mini swinging ship with a spinning boat. None of the motions are nautious or dizzying. Some of the brief sensations during the ride are quite fun, but this ride can get boring for me after a while because the motion is repetative and the ride is small. I highly recommend this ride for families and chilren because the spinning and rocking sensations mixed together is pretty fun.

Maybe you can elaborate on your seat complaint and is the seats the reason you gave it a 7. what for you brought down the rating.

Of course the rides best seats are the outside seats as on any ride that swings back and forth. The ride is fun, but its a bit too small and tame to give a higher ranking even though its a family ride. Canobies Skater is much better.

now that its fixed yes it is. But A skater would have looked terrible at Santas Village. To be honest It doesnt look that good at canobie. but thanks for the extra info.

They did add a bit to make the Skater look better. still not great but better. I admit its a bit better but the Rockn tug. though the rockn Tug is more easily themed and worked into parks.
