The Ghost Hunt at Lake Compounce is an excellent ride, and shouldnt be missed. Sally Corperation installed this interactive shooting dark ride in 1999. Ghost Hunt has excellent theming around the ride. The building, Bleakstone Manor, looks creepy, and has many spooky objects around it like ghost signs, and scary statures. Lines usually are around 20 minutes, but its the wait is worth it. I found that Ghost Hunt had the longest line in the park. The queue line video, explains the plot (and also is pretty cheesy), and how to work the ride vehicles. Each vehicle holds 2 passengers, and the cars are equipped with 2 guns. The ride is long, and there are many ghosts to blast. There is one part, where you exit the mansion, and get a brief view of the park. The more ghosts you blast, the higher your score. Sadly, the ghosts are only in 2-D, but thats only a minor complaint and it really doesnt runin the ride for me. Overall, Ghost Hunt is an excellent ride. This is a great ride for anyone who isnt afraid of the dark, or ghosts. Try to beat your high score each time. Best of all, I havent ever encountered any deffective guns on this ride like other rides of this kind.
