Review of Dino Island II: Escape from Dino Island @ Geauga Lake

Maybe Im nuts but this is not a sequel. This is the same as the ride I watched at SFGAdv a couple of years ago. While the story is still entertaining I prefered it more in 3D in theater seating format.

Ha ha! It actually is a sequel, and yes, I would have preferred it in 3-D, too. You can tell many of the effects were planned for 3-D, but sent in regular version to Geauga Lake.

doing a goggle search I see there was an original. I guess that makes sense since this has the Roman numerals II in the title. Do you (or anyone else) know what the plot was for the original?

I believe it was like Jurassic Park... Just a routine trip on Dino Island when a T-Rex attacked. Watch the video in the line next time.

Well I dont expect to be back for a couple more year. The video they showed when I was on line had nothing to do with a T-Rex attacking. The video took place on an aircraft carrier and scientists were telling a TV reporter about the importance of Dino Island and the islands imminent destruction. Then the scientific crew is called into an emergency evacuation operation to save Tony and they ask the reporter to join them. I dont think they show the prequel in the pre-show.

Not in the pre-show... While waiting in line. I have no idea what the storyline of the first was. The pre-show is just like you said... The Tony, TV Reporter, etc.

I think the reason with the Roman Numerals is that it is not in 3D.

Oh man are you serious? You cant actually think that. LOL They are just Roman Numerals stating that it is the second one, not because the ride is not in 3D. That doesnt even make any sense.
