All rocket coasters have roll backs at one time or another, it has no real effect on parks in the market for them. Also, Kingda Ka doesnt use LIMs, it uses a hydraulic launch system.

I have stated this before why do people believe that Cedar Point cares if they lose the record. All records are meant to be broken and this one will fall also.

Also, I would also suggest that whether TTD "got blown in the dust" is up for debate. IMO, Kingda Ka did not surpass it enough in height or speed to be considered blowing it in the dust. It is higher and faster, but not by monumental proportions.

Pretty bad review. Anyway, the record was still broken, no matter how much it was beaten by.

36 feet and 8 miles an hour isnt enough to blow TTd into the weeds. If it was your first rocket coaster i am sure your excited, but most who have ridden both say they cant tell much difference.

Right, all Im saying is that it broke the record. A record is a record.

Im dubious, anonymous one. Given the distance between NYC + SFGA, I dont think the human eye can see that far. And while 8 mph might result in a big difference over a 300 lap car race, for the time/distance the coasters are going, I suspect the difference is imperceptible (especially as youve got, I dunno, the distraction of sheer drops of 400+ and all). Thats one science geeks thoughts...

And from TTD you can see Canada on a clear day. *shrug* I do agree that a record is a record, and Dragsters has been broken, but not by such a large extent that Dragster should be blown off. I also agree with FTCP that more effort should be put into building coasters that are longer and have less of a tendency to break down constantly - either that, or the technology for this style should be perfected before building more.

ok, everyone, im sorry. that review i posted was when i was just 12 years old, and i let my immaturity get out of hand.

Wow thats the first time Ive heard some one anonymously say something that isnt rude and obnoxious, anyways from what Ive heard even though Kingda Ka beat TTDs records TTD is still better because there are no OTSRs ....and Condor37 that means your only 14.... how much have you really matured since then?
Condor37 on 7/27/2007 3:33:57 PM said:
actually, its over another year later, so i will be turning 16 pretty soon. regardless of the timespan, i have matured a lot.

But remember, KK has a camelback. I think that offsets the harness quite nicely! Kind of. And Condor, its incredible that you age 2 years for every year. Just incredible!
