Review of Circus Wheel @ Six Flags Magic Mountain

This may be just a carnival flat ride, but how can you not love a tilt-a-whirl? And this is about the best example of one Ive yet found. The ride duration was very long, and the cars spun like mad. I dont know that Ive ever laughed so hard on a tilt-a-whirl before. Im hopeful that we didnt just get lucky and each repeat ride will deliver the same experience. A bit of Magic Mountain flat ride history for anyone who is interested: This tilt-a-whirl used to be called the Jolly Roger and was located where the entrance to Goliath is now. It was always very crowded and popular. Where it now stands was a trabant, called Circus Wheel, which never got any business. When they needed space to make way for Goliath, they opted to keep the tilt-a-whirl rather than the trabant, so they removed the original Circus Wheel and moved the Jolly Roger to this spot, though the name Circus Wheel remained. And guess what. Now this ride never gets any business either. I guess location really does matter. Oh well. More rides on it for me!
