Is this the same ride that all of the New Englanders were complaining about? Geeze. I just had to get to this part to see what all the buzz, and fuss was about for this thing. I have always felt so out of the loop. So I just decided to go. I up and left and made the 2 hour trudge up to the Bay State to add to the coaster count and see what the ride is really like. I got to the park at 9:30, entered the park, sat behind the red tape until the park opened at 10, watched the Looney Tunes do their little opening the park gig in the Midway Gazeebo and then the charge was on. I figured there would be a bit of a rush for Mr. Sixs Pandamoneum, but I was wrong. It was all about Superman. These crazy Red Sox fans know what they are doing. The security guard kept the crowd in control and ushered us to the ride, which was testing... Ummmm why couldnt they test it before the park opened? Anyway, the line, which quickly stretched out of the DC Comic area, thined out greatly and after about a half hour, we were going through the queue. I got up to the station and it was just a one train wait for me to get into the second row. Wait a minute.... "Are you a single? Want to come up here?" It was like a blessing from the roller coaster gods. So now, it was just a one train wait for the front seat. I got in and inspected those "evil" restraints. Am I just stupid or is there like nothing wrong with any of this? They must have really thrown you out there with nothing holding you down if this is a lot of restraint. And those ankle things, I was expectly like Superman: Ultimate Flight with them closing in to really clamp you down. I didnt even notice them until I looked down. There is all the room in the world to move around, or maybe that is just how I sit in a coaster or something. Call me crazy, but, I didnt feel restricted at all. It could just be because I never rode it before the incident, but I couldnt image less without getting everyone killed with the amount of airtime this thing has. Anyway, we began our assent up the lift hill, and the guy that asked me to ride in the front seat with him just happened to be an ACEr, which was cool. We crested over the hill and droped into the tunnel, made the turn and off we were going. What an amazing ride. I was watching the people in the test trains getting poped out of their seats, but didnt think it would be like that. It was crazy. All of the credit has to be given to those Intamin trains that just effortlessly flip and whip their way over the track, conforming perfectly with every hill and turn. The hills were pure insanity and the speed was relentless. That first hill was a drop of craziness. There were a few parts that could have had a little something more, but the unreal airtime on the hills made up for what was missing. I was a little disappointed with the tunnels. From the pictures I had seen it seemed like they go underground for a longer period of time, but they are still cool. The mist was refreshing in the second one, too bad it was still only the morning or else it would have been really refreshing. To tell you the truth, I found some of the turns and overbanks to be a little boring, which took away from the ride a little, but like I said before, those hills are amazing. Overall, it is an incredible ride. Yet, I wasnt into the crammed final half of the ride. I just wasnt into the layout of that part. That might just be because Im used to a more spread out layout on a hyper. It was weird to me and kind of took away from the ride. It was fairly predictable to say the least. However, I cant say it enough, that airtime was killer. Did I mention that the airtime made up for a lot of what the design lacked? Maybe I should mention the airtime. It is crazy to think that they could have been more. Anyway, they really are being safe because the trains were stacking like crazy. We must have sat there for at least 2 full minutes before the nex
