Review of Wild Cat @ Hersheypark

Wild Cat was a wild and rambunctious woodie, which to me is synonymous with pretty fun. The coaster was beautiful, with the typical Great Coasters wood magic. However, this was the first GCI, and while I can see where they started theyve come a long way. Perhaps the worst thing is the PTC trains the coaster runs, which is the most likely source for the roughness and intensity. Its good, but this, like Gwazi and others, is why we got those wonderful Millennium Flyers, so Ill take it.The ride was still good, and I cant bash the roughness. I though it was that good kind of bone-jarring experience, and nothing like a Dinn/Summers mega woodie. The layout was good, and provided a bunch of twists and turns and those renowned GCI laterals. The coaster isnt an airtime beast, but did have some good pops here and there, noting that we rode near the back. The one train operation blows big time though, I was fortunate enough to catch it with a fairly short line and still waited probably 20 minutes. Its worth a ride anyday, expecially when the line is pretty short, but looks can be deceiving and be prepared to get shaken a bit.

I have walked on all the times I rode so I didnt notice the amount of trains. It should definately be able to hold two, dont you agree?

Ugh, I know when Grizz runs 1 train, it is a major drag, so I guess this is the same way. I actually dont mind PTC trains all that much...but then again, Ive never tried out the Millennium Flyers and the only other woodie trains that Ive been in are the NADs on T-bolt and those awesome classic trains on Jackrabbit
