Review of Curse of DarKastle @ Busch Gardens Williamsburg

Darkastle, the ride, is better than any operating roller coaster that I have been on. My wait in line was an hour and forty-five minutes, not quite as bad as Fergs wait, but it was long.

I cant help but get pumped for this ride when everyone is leaving the exit speechless and shaking.

The ride is about a castle frozen in time, what happens? On your way to the pre show, you are presented into a room with beautiful paintings, and a wish for a jacket, if you didnt have one. As the room makes you feel like you are in a freezer. Everyone piles up beside the exit sign, but the real entrance is to the left of the movie itself. Once the door opens, you move into the station of the ride, where two golden sleighs are waiting for entry of its passengers. Once you grab your 3D glasses, you can get in line. Eight people in a sleigh, each sleigh is equipped with speakers in the back, and able to move up, down, left, and right.

I wont provide spoilers, which no one should, as this is a ride you want to experience completely on your own. But one thing that is true- you will be amazed. The theming is supurb, as well as the effects and movement of the ride.

Bring a jacket, hoodie, sweater, whatever. For you sake.

Yeah, I was really surprised (and happy) that they purposefully made the ride freezing inside. Just think of how its going to be in the middle of the summer Im glad Im not the only DarKastle fan on the site anymore. You really do come off quaking in utter awe, Somethign that bugged me, though, is how they load the cars. Like you said, Anaconda, there are two separate lines, one further up the loading platform and one towards the back. The thing that bugged me is that the latter was sometimes neglected because of the natural program for the cars to move as far up the loading platform as possible. If the first car was loaded fast and was sent out before another car rolled into the platform, the next empty car would move all the way up to the front of the platform again, with the back line piling up. But this is a small problem, and all the ride ops had to do was hold the first car back enough to let another car catch up and stop behidn it, letting people from that line finally get on the ride. I gotta tell ya, after waiting 3 hours, I was pretty mad to see that this is how the ride was programmed...
