 Review of Splash Mountain @ Magic Kingdom

I keep wondering why this ride always get such high a rate. Its neat and delicate, but not really fun. Just some AA and a few not-so-scary drops. Kind of dated, try it at night. Itll slightly better.

You are kidding me this ride is a classic with 45 minute wait times. You dont like this and make "El Rio del Tiempo" your #1 ride. Come on you have to be kidding

The expectation determined my rate. When riding El Rio, I would expect a relax, comfortable break from florida heat. When I ride TOT, I am beging some killing thrill. When I ride Splash Mountain, I dont know what to expect. The drop is not thrilling, and the ride is more intense than El Rio. I was confused by eitehr its a dessert or a steak. For me the only explanation is this is for kids who arent able to handle the physical disorientation of big thrills; and for those who are too young to enjoy the beauty of world showcase. As the rides high reputaion, I expect some WOW element either special effects wise or thrilling wise or creativity wise. It didnt live up my hype; as El Rio being notorious of the worst ride ever created, it turned out to be a blast and really laid back casue there is no hype there. Its a matter of taste where I found no interest watching talking animals but I am so into the ancient civilization of Inca. It is a lot to do of ones taste.

You must like rides that have videos from 1982 when EPCOT opened if you like El Rio de Tiempo instead of Splash Mountain. I cant believe you said that Splash Mountain needed updated but that ride doesnt. Did you even ride these rides? Unbelievable. Splash Mountain isnt meant to be scary, I dont think Disney was going for that when they decided on a place in the ride called "The Laughing Place" and made the villians a not so scary fox and a stupid bear.
