Review of Mind Bender, The @ Six Flags Over Georgia
-1 Rating Posted by: bunkleg on 4/9/2005 8:13:00 PM
The ride starts out with a nice sign with a big green question mark. It attracts you in. The line is very nice. Surrounded with trees, which makes it shaded which is wonderful on hot summer days. The seats are very comfortable, along with the lap bars. When you reach the top of the lift hill, you pause for a few seconds. Most of the time you think there are technical difficulties. The loops are unique. Instead of an oblong shaped loop, its more circular, which makes gives a lot stronger Gs.

It has reopened, it was down for a brake rehab and a complete overhaul. Welcome to the site It still is a loop, it just isnt an inverting loop

Just went on this for the first time in 2 years. The speed was great. I tried putting my hands up on the loop, but it was close to impossible. But, great ride!

Whoa, you are officially the first person I have ever heard refer to Mind Bender as "rough". Most people usually remark on its suprising smoothness, but I guess there is always a dissenter. In all due respect, I think you are pretty much a "sissy" if you think the Mind Bender is rough
(before you jump on my back, I am just teasing you... wimp)

I didnt think it was as smooth as some newer coasters. The only part I remember saying "that was rough" was right before we went under the tunnel.

Most steel coaster thatare older arnt as smooth as nower ones. anyways I tried to hold my hands up as well. I underestimated the power of the ride and got my arms thrown down and hit my elbow on the car. (Ouch)

I dont see how you can think its rough. At that point, its going strait, there are no shoulder restraints or seat dividers for you to slam into.. you just sound picky. IMO, its the smoothest ride at the park, and the smoothest ride this side of Apollos Chariot. Yes, its intense, and it can be very hard to keep your arms up, especially pulling out of the third loop, but thats part of what makes the ride spectacular.

You mean the overbank.

No I dont, I mean the third loop. Its a non-inverting loop, smartass Scott knows me a bit too well, he knows what buttons to push to set me off

Bob, I didnt know where else to put this since you dont have aim. - Someone has gone around to almost all of my reviews, and given them a bad And, you know that not all of them are bad. If you can please found out who did that, and if you can somehow take them off, I would really appreciate it. And, some of my best have 2 bads, so either its 2 ppl, or 1 person with 2 accounts.

Smoother than the parks B&Ms? Yes, although SUF, Scorcher and Batman are all very smooth, I just think that Mind bender tops it, probably mostly because it doesnt have anything to bang around on, except for that backboard which never gives me trouble.

As for the "bad"s, I cant do much about them. I mean, dont you think I would get rid of my bads for my good reviews like Hydra, Skooters and KK/TTD? I mean, yea it sucks, but that sort of crap happens once in a while. Perhaps you ticked someone off or something. Look at adriahna, one of our best critics, she has 40-something bads and it doesnt phase me when I read her reviews. As long as your reviews are good thats all that really matters, though I do admit getting a bunch of "Bad"s stinks. Also, for the ones with two bads, chances are it was the one troublemaker and then some other random person who thought it was bad. If the person had a double account, then they would have gone around and clicked two "bad"s for each review, or so one would think.
