The Grinder Gearworks is a typical carnival Round-Up flat ride. You stand up and spin until you are plastered against the wall, and then the whole contraption tilts up at about a 45-degree angle, and there are no restraints because you are held by the centrifugal forces. The spinning while level is actually more intense than the spinning while elevated, which is more pleasant. I think I give the edge to Spin Out for sheer fun, but this is a pretty entertaining diversion from all the big stuff at Magic Mountain. However, the big stuff will probably take all day, so dont make this one a priority.
