Im not a big fan of Wave Swingers, as they make me naucious, but this one is run fast and smooth, and is well-maintained like most of the rides at the park.

I agree that The park is run well and the rides kept in good runign order. There Vekoma Boomerange coaster is the first I really liked.

The Zoomerang was my favorite ride too when they first built it, but in the past few seasons it has gotten too rough for me to enjoy it (or so it seems, maybe its just me getting older).

They are rough. but its nothing compared to SFNEs.

I bet the line for SFNEs is WAY longer too!

I almost never ride it at SFNE just because I wont wait 45minutes to and hour for the ride.
ibluv on 11/7/2004 3:32:37 PM said:
Me neither. Who would wait in line more than 20 minutes for a Boomerang? The lines for most of the rides at SFNE are ridiculously long, the ride ops are ornery, and many of the rides are neglected, which is why I dont go there as often as I used to, especially since LC is much closer and has a more welcoming atmosphere.

For me The lake is the same traviling distance 2.5 hours. My Parints actually got season passes to Compounce. they dont think they are worth it becaouse maltiple trips to any park isnt worth it. they went to the lake 4 times. I go to Canobie often since its 45 minutes away.

I live so close to Compounce I go there at least a dozen times a year. I know its small, but I can never get enough of BD, and many of my friends and acquaintances work there. I was up in NH this summer and almost went to Canobie, but didnt have enough time. I hear thats a nice classic park as well.

If you like Compounce you wil llike canobie. more rides, more shows, rode to do. The park has the clasic rides(catipiler, paratroopers, etc) and new age rides like the star blaster(S&S double shot tower). The Dark rides Disney Quality and thewarer rides are fantastic. now if they woudl only build there rafting ride(larger then Thunder rapids), new wood coaster(majer CCI disign to compete with SFNE), and get then expantion don wed be all set.

Yeah, I noticed Canobie has way more rides than Compounce, and a good mix of classic and modern ones, but they could use a new major coaster. But theyll hafta find someone else besides CCI to do the job, as the company filed for bankruptcy 2 years ago Maybe instead of a big woodie they could build a B&M diving machine like the one at BGT. That would REALLY give SFNE a run for its money

The problem is and Old posts say this as well, is that they have allot of trouble geting the city to help. right now they have The Star Blaster at 85ft. It took alot of arguing just to get that hight. The CCI coaster was disigned but it was not built do to the company goign out of buisnes. THey could still get it built by another company. THe dive Machine sounds great but It would be very expensive. Keep in mind the Ground is Granit a few feet down and they have a short water level tourds the back of the park.

Thats too bad. I hope the plans go through somehow and that coaster is built. I wonder why Salem is so strict with height. I could see 200+ being a problem but 85?

Stuck up polititions. They feel that the park woudl take ove rthe town. actually the park is the town. it mad Salem. Peaple dont travil to Victorian park exept for October and the Race track stinks. So the park is all they have. they need to start looking at that.

Thats exactly like Bristol. If it wasnt for LC Bristol would just be a very poor dilapidated town that no one would want to visit. Having a large amusement park in a small town helps the economy of that town. You would think the politicians would see that.

Bristal isnt hurting for money and wouldnt hurt if LC wasnt there. allot of insurance companies and a financial firm are in town. not to mention ESPN. Salem has prity much nothing. A crowded mall, Rocking hame park(hoarse race track) , and Victorian Park( Mini golf and a fantastic Holloween event).
