The first time I went on Steel Force was back in 1997, the year that it opened. This was the first hyper coaster in the East, thus being the first that I had ridden. It was absolutely awesome. The ride was so smooth, and it still is. It is a great track in terms of stability and layout. The huge helix is not visible since Hercules is now defunct, which is kind of cool. The first two drops are great. The helix is unbelieveable when it is at top speed. The brakes half way through going towards the home stretch do not do much because the first hill after them just shoots you right down. The bunnyhops are my girlfriends favorite part. I do highly suggest waiting for the front seat. I went on this ride during the pooring rain. I was waiting in my seat when there was a huge downpour. The attendent announced that it would be the last ride of the day as we went in to the rain, not being able to see 10 feet in front of us. The ride was so fast that my acne cleared up and my face has been relatively clear ever since! What a great experience!
