Review of Dominator @ Geauga Lake
0 Rating Posted by: dominator1 on 8/4/2004 2:19:00 PM
The Dominator was my first looping coaster ever, as well as my first floorless coaster. The first loop was, at least when it was built in 2000, the highest vertical loop in the world, as well as the longest floorless coaster in the world! It looked very intimidating, but I knew that if I missed it, I would regret it later...

I was surprised when I found that I not only tolerated it, I actually enjoyed the ride, too! It is my favorite coaster that Ive ever been on, and cant wait to try it again! It wasnt even very rough at all (IMO at least).

This one cant be missed, even if it werent a walk-on! I went on a Tuesday, so Im not sure if its normally a walk-on or not. Either way, it is definitely worth a wait if there happens to be one...

BTW, I dont understand why people complain about the lake scum. It really isnt that bad - and geez, its a LAKE, not a fountain or something! Havent you seen a lake before?!?!

Dominator is one of the better floorless coasters, maybe #3, behind Kraken and Medusa. It has a unique layout which gives it a boost but it still seems a little short. I guess they cant all be monsters like Kraken!

Speaking of monsters... "Hydra: The Revenge... Its a monster coaster" Watch out for this bad boy. Length, layout, unique. It has a lot. Just have to ride it now.

He does look like a bad MoFo! That roll before the hill is really cool.

I prefer dominator to Medusa as far as the lake scum its just so weird you think they would put a fountain or something to circulate the water.
