I got to go on the finished version this past weekend. It rocks. The Imhotep and Reggie animatronics in the beginning looks awesome. The only downsides are the scarab scene only worked some of the times I went on. The left wall wasnt turned on or something the whole time I was there, so we got 3/4 the experience in there. Then the fake unload was ok, you saw the girl get killed but then when the animatronic was supposed to bust out it didnt and all you saw on the screen was an upside down ride attendant. The coaster portion is still great though.

Yeah, some times of the day scene 2 may work, but 4 may not. Then later on, scene 4 will work, but 2 wont. Well, at least that is what I have heard. I have talked to a few people who were lucky enough to ride the FULL ride, and they have all said its the best ride they have been on. Cant wait to go on it....the full version that is....

Ok, its really hard to figure out, but someone explained it to me and it seemed to make sense. I originally thought that it was done with projections on a screen, it just showed scarabs coming out and runnign aorund, but I quickly noticed there was no projector. Then on another board I visit someone said the walls are giant conveyor belts. The walls are set up to show empty walls, then they start rotating and the scarabs painted on start pouring out and start moving around and fill up all three screens. Then the lights go out, you start moving backwards and the water spray.

Yea, it looks great. I probably didnt explain it as well as someone who designed the ride could, but if you get to ride it youll be amazed by how awesome it looks. The only bad things about the scarab scene are they apparently think rocks are scary. On all sides of you, they have rocks dropping down chutes to simulate the scarabs coming at you, but I dont think it was necessary.

Yea, it is a tad weird, especially because they have the rocks falling through a skeleton. Its kind of funny. lol, before I went on this ride for the first time during TRs my friend asked me if I had a fear of rocks and I had no idea what he was talking about until I rode it.

hahahah, they should have a warning sign..

lol "If you have a fear of bugs, darkness, evil spirits, drops, speed, and rocks - You may not want to experience this attraction." I actually read that this ride plays on peoples fears of evil spirits.

yeahh it should! but i think the rocks might bee there to simulate an unsturdy tomb of something....

That would make more sense, but I doubt thats what its for. You come into this scene and brake HARD. Then you see a scarab then 2 then within 5 seconds the screen is full of them, so it would make sense that the rocks represent scarabs but the rocks look fake, if they were black rocks it may work better, but they are an off white...
