Great Bear is only the 2nd B&M inverted coaster that Ive ridden. The only other one I have been on is Batman at SFGAdv. It was an enjoyable ride, but I think I was expecting a lot more. Im sure the 50 minute wait didnt help my opinion either. The ride definitely has some nice elements. The drop into the helix after the chain lift is a nice change of pace from the usual B&M turning drop. The immelman loop was very cool and the inline twist to the LEFT was cool. Most, if not ALL of the inline twists / barrel rolls Ive been through have been to the right. The main problem I had with this ride was that it lacked the B&M tight and forceful feeling. Still, I give them credit. Looking at the layout, I can see that they really had to do some engineering to fit this ride where it is. Just look at the shape of some of the supports over the water. Also, look at where the track passes over the main walkways near the Superdooperlooper. This ride is fun, just like all B&M coasters and I give the park a lot of credit for their creativity with where they placed this ride. Its worth going on if the wait is not too bad. I put both Storm Runner and Lightning Racer above this one.
