This was the coaster that got me over my coaster phobia. I went to IOA on the 14th with my class and went on this as the first ride of the day, and my first rollercoaster ever, and Im 15! Well anyway, I knew about the launch, but I was stil blown away. The feeling of being in that launch tube and just seeing the zero g roll at the top is amazing, then you just all of a sudden launch and go screaming towards this thing at 40mph, and before you know it your seeing the world upsdie down then on your way to the next inversions. This whole coaster is great! There is not a single part of this coaster I dont like!

Thanks for the welcome. Thats cool to meet another Jason. I rode it during Technical Rehersals. It wasnt completely done, but it was one heck of a ride when I rode it, and Im expecting it to be even better when it offically opens! :-D

*SPOILER*
Personally my favorite parts are the launched lift hill and the coaster portions. My second favorite would be the treasure room, and the temporary Reggie whom has already been replaced!
Waitj786 on 5/19/2004 9:04:23 PM said:
ohh thats not a spoiler for me, i have read EVERYTHING about this ride! i am looking forward to it, but it seems pretty short...
tacoking on 5/19/2004 9:38:24 PM said:
I cant wait to ride the full thing when it officially opens. You can definatly tell, when I rode it, that not everything was...operational...
Waitj786 on 5/19/2004 9:49:31 PM said:
OH??? so wut wasnt operating, thats so kool that u still loved it even though it wasnt fully running
Jason07 on 5/19/2004 10:21:01 PM said:
Well in the first scene they had a temporary Reggie which I mentioned. All this thing was was a human shaped thing with a big nose and eyes wrapped up in white cloths and had a red baseball cap on, and he talked but all he did was shake, which was hilarious. Then also in this scene which is now in place is the imhotep character who does away with Reggie, the animatronic looks like Freddy Kruger. Then in the fake unload there is an animatronic that busts through the glass to give it a much better effect then just a movie behind the glass. Then they are just going to tinker with timing, and all of the other effects. When I went on I was throughly impressed even though it was not complete, and I cant wait until this Saturday when I can ride it with everything in working order!
Waitj786 on 5/20/2004 2:26:17 PM said:
lucky! i need to go back there..
tacoking on 5/20/2004 2:47:57 PM said:
When I rode, I didnt even have a temporary Reggie.
Jason07 on 5/20/2004 3:29:58 PM said:
You should Waitj786. The grand opening is this Friday.(sorry my mistake) Media Day was today. Man no Temp Reggie? That guy rocked!
tacoking on 5/20/2004 7:02:50 PM said:
Isnt the official opening the 21st.....?
Jason07 on 5/20/2004 7:46:54 PM said:
You are absolute correct. My mistake, Im just so tired my brains not functioning...
ADDED: Apparently the Hulk is being repainted. From what I understand this is happening during the twilight hours but due to slow paint drying it is having to be closed during some normal operating hours for it to dry completely, but it does run during the day, but opens about noon, this is at least what happened on the 17th. Does anyone know if this will put a damper on me riding it this weekend? This is like one of the biggest reasons Im going this weekend to ride The Hulk. The upside is Ill be in Orlando the very next weekend so Ill probably get to ride it then, but Id still like to ride it this weekend. Does Anyone know for sure if Ill be able to get on it?
tacoking on 5/20/2004 9:57:46 PM said:
I knew it! I thought when I went last Saturday the Hulk looked different, but I didnt hear anything on new paint, so I thought its been like that for a while. It was operating all day last Saturday, so I imagine this weekend will be the same.
Jason07 on 5/20/2004 10:11:06 PM said:
Thanks tacoking, for some reason I forgot I was just there last weekend and rode it but anyway. Everyone has been saying the worst case scenario is that it will open in the late morning like 10:30-11 or something like that. The good thing is no matter what time it opens Ill have FOTL passes through the Portofino Bay Hotel!
Waitj786 on 5/21/2004 2:13:17 PM said:
i want to go back, BUT there is one tiny setback.... I live in NEW YORK.......
Jason07 on 5/21/2004 5:38:29 PM said:
Wowzerz, I guess Im one of the lucky ones who get to live a meer 2 hours from Orlando and all of its splendor.
tacoking on 5/21/2004 7:47:47 PM said:
I live about 25-35min from Orlando.
Jason07 on 5/21/2004 8:46:00 PM said:
grr, 2 hours for me. To be able to check into my hotel tomorrow and get my express pass, and get to the park by opening I have to leave here at like 5:30am!
Waitj786 on 5/21/2004 10:48:02 PM said:
only 20 hrs for me
tacoking on 5/21/2004 11:00:07 PM said:
Hey! Thats better than 21!
Waitj786 on 5/21/2004 11:14:13 PM said:
True True, BUT its so far. I drove to disney and universal once and the ride there wasnt to bad. But the ride back thats a whole nother storyy. i also flew there too and the ride there on the plane was good but the flight back thats a WHOLE NOTHER STORY. hahahaha horrible turbulance and the plane almost tipped and caught its wing on the runway because of the wind. it literally landed on one wheel and then tipped back and smashed down on theother two.. :O
Jason07 on 5/23/2004 7:52:57 PM said:
Man, that must have been quite the experience. Well Im back from Orlando, and I was able to get on the Hulk 9 times over the 2 days I was there. 3 times on Saturday 6 times today. The new paint is looking good. That launch is still the greatest thing in the world. ROTM also completely rocked.
Waitj786 on 5/23/2004 8:07:42 PM said:
lucky! hope u had a good time
Jason07 on 5/23/2004 10:20:31 PM said:

Jason07 on 5/24/2004 4:25:21 PM said:
lol, Im staying in Disney this weekend and going to Sea World, MGM, and Universal, and yes the Hulk does rule theMonster.
tacoking on 5/24/2004 10:38:11 PM said:

Jason07 on 5/25/2004 4:36:16 PM said:
I couldnt agree more tacoking!
Waitj786 on 5/25/2004 5:15:22 PM said:
THE HULK RULES.....AGAIN this is very true, i went on it 7 times in a row last time in IOA cause i had an automatic fastpass cause i was staying at the park..
Jason07 on 5/25/2004 5:19:54 PM said:
I went on the Hulk 9 times over a 2 day span all thanks to my express pass from the hotels. I went on it 3 times on Saturday and 6 times on Sunday, each time got better! "Everything looks good, I think...I think that this time its going to work, warning coolant levels dropping, Warning - NO, NO, NO! Warning acceleration contaminated!" Sorry, I just had to put that!
Waitj786 on 5/25/2004 5:22:35 PM said:
hahahaha, well i guess u really like it..
tacoking on 5/25/2004 10:56:33 PM said:
People people, I have been on the Hulk over 40 times one day.
Jason07 on 5/25/2004 11:06:00 PM said:
lol, yup I sure do. Ive been fascinated by this ride ever since my first visit to IOA, even though I had never ridden it. I could spit out any piece of information about the coaster like speeds, inversions, motors, any of that and had never ridden it, but now that I have ridden it, it is so much better! Grr, I could have gone on like 40 times but my family didnt like waiting for me even though I rode it 3 times in a row 3 times.
Waitj786 on 5/26/2004 5:19:29 PM said:
how come ur fam dont ride it?!!?
Jason07 on 5/26/2004 8:27:35 PM said:
Well my mom is a senior citizen and she is worried that it may be too much for her in her current state. My brother just hasnt gotten the nerves to go on it. Even though he has gone on every other coaster at IOA and everything at Busch Gardens.
Waitj786 on 5/26/2004 9:25:41 PM said:
GEEZE, i can see why ur mom wouldnt, but ur bro?!!? force him on it!!! thats what i did to my little 8 year old bro, he was to scared to go on anything in CP and my rents didnt force him on anything so i stole him away and made him ride Wicked Twister!!! and my rents couldnt stop me! haha i know im evil but he LOVED it! so there, i was doing good.
Jason07 on 5/26/2004 9:48:17 PM said:
Yea, my mom wants to ride it, but she is just worried she would hurt herslef more. The reason I cant force my brother on is my mom told me my brother is truly scared and hell go when hes ready and to not force him on so Im kinda stuck. So I ride by myself and just have a grand ol time. I went to IOA with my ROTC Unit 2 weeks ago and everyone knew I hadnt been on a coaster before so they dragged me on The Hulk and man o man am I glad they did.
Jason07 on 5/31/2004 8:45:09 PM said:

Jason07 on 6/1/2004 1:10:35 PM said:
lol, its just a great ride. Dude if you get the chance go to IOA when its open late like 9 oclock and jump in line at 8:30 or so and when you get on it will be dark. Its awesome.
theMonster on 6/4/2004 4:06:41 PM said:
Man, I didnt get to ride at night because when I went the park closed at 7pm. That wouldve been killer kool.
greyhoundg on 6/5/2004 4:45:45 PM said:
