Well kept carousel with a good location. Thats all I can really rate them on and this does good at both. As I have spent more time reading reviews I have learned much more about them. This is a great example of a well maintained carousel, however I still give it huge points for the location right at the gate. That is where a carousel should always be IMO.

I disagree that those aspects are all one can really rate a carousel on, but other than that, this is a nice review. I agree fully on the maintenance and location issue - Cedar Point is great at both.

what i meant was that carousels mostly just go in circles so its the condition of the ride that truly matters. i should have been a little clearer

Gotcha - its cool. Youll have to humor us carousel fanatics - were all wound up with concerns such as a carousels manufacturer, condition, historical maintenance, provenance, etc... dont worry - were just a funny lot.

I enjoy the sculpture so much, but to be honest the sickest i have EVER been on a ride was international carousel at kentucky kingdom. As a coaster fanatic i was so afraid i was going to throw up before the carousel finished, i just kept thinking if i get sick i may have to retire from rides.

Oh, man - yuck. However, dont feel embarrassed - there are PLENTY of folks who can handle the most intense coaster, but carousels make them violently ill.
