Review of Superman: Ultimate Flight @ Six Flags Great America

I was not too thrilled by this ride. I dont know it just wasnt fun. It was neat the way you hang from under the track but the ride itself was a big let down. After the first hill and loop its pretty boring, not to mention the ride opps left us hanging for at least 5 min after the ride was over which is not very fun. Would I ride this again, yeah probably, but I wouldnt wait more then 15 min for it. The idea of hanging under the track was good, but this particular ride layout wasnt very good.

Maybe I should of said it was lacking excitment instead of fun. It was fun, but the track layout was pretty dull, and its too short. I was expecting a better ride considering its new and all the hype that surrounded it. I would ride this agian, but its not the best coaster in the park.

If this isnt the best in the park then its Raging Bull. Anyways..... I loved it. I dont see how it was short. Its a 3 minute ride.

In my opinion SUF would rank 4th behind raging bull, viper, and batman the ride at SFGA. But thats just me. I respect the fact that you loved this ride, actually my friends loved it too, but my personal opinion is it couldve been better. I think they shouldve made the first drop higher and steeper to add to the intimidation factor, not to mention going head first down a huge hill would be a very unique experience.

Yes BTR is up there for the best ride. Make the hill as big as you want, just dont lose the pretzel loop.

I dont see how this ride is 3 minutes but it is. The lift must account for at least half of the ride time.

Yeah I was surprised to find that raging bull and SUF have the same ride time. Raging bull seems to go on forever, while SUF seems to last 45 sec. Kinda weird, but oh well.

Well alot of the time for RB is spent on the lift, remember your climbing 200+ft on that ride.

When youre hanging there for 15 minutes waiting to get back in the station it makes you forget how long the ride was. I had a similar experience at SFGAdv and I was on a train load full of screaming 6 grade girls. That was pure terror.

lol, yeah I know what you mean.

I was also stuck for 15 mins on SUF at SFGAdv. The only difference was that the ride crew came out and cranked the cars down and got us off the ride at the first ending brake. The train in front of us got stuck in the second brake so we couldnt move until the other one moved.

I have never had to wait more than a minute or 2 on the brakes. Also, I think that the ride is only of average length, and that there is no way that it can truly be consdered 3 mins. But that pretzel loop is something else...

Im sure the wait was only 3 min or so at the end, but when your hanging there with all the blood rushing to your head time can seem to go on forever.

Oh yea, the hanging can cause some serious stress on the shoulders with those harnesses
