This is my favorite inverted coaster. It had an intense first drop and used its theme to its advantage. I loved the many trenches and tunnels. The batwing is one of my favorite elements thanks to this ride. Montu also provides the rider with some excellent moments of airtime. This is truly the best invert of all time, and the best coaster in Florida

I thought Alpengeist was too short. I dont know, maybe it just wasnt as good of an experience since it started raining when I was in the middle of the line and I was soaked by the time I got on the ride and I wasnt too happy. But Alpengeist seemed too quick.

Montu is long track wise but Alpengeist is longer time wise.

By ten seconds. I have the right to my opinion and Im sticking with it. Dont misinterpret what I said, theyre both really fun rides and I would recomend them both, but I just enjoyed Montu more. Montu is on your top ten list and I dont see anything to suggest youve ridden both coasters which gives you no room to judge.

swimace - I understand what you mean about the rain. I was at BGW for 3 days and it rained the whole time, and I took a front seat ride on Alpengeist while it was pouring. Bad decision, the ride was horrible. Forunately, it seemed longer and better in the back seat.

The back seat is much better, it seems more powerful and its funy to watch the front of the train go through the cobra roll, zero-g roll, corkscrew and immelman.

The only invert that Ive been front seat for was B:TR. Next time I ride DD, Ill go for the front. I wish I would have ridden Montu & Kumba in the front when I was there last time.
