Review of Loch Ness Monster @ Busch Gardens Williamsburg

This was a fun coaster. The drop was steep, and went right over the water. The best part about this ride is the Interlocking Loops. When the two trains go over simultaniously, it is incredible. I took one point away due to the roughness, as usual with Arrow coasters. And I took away another point, because of the long, loud, and boring tunnel. Overall a great coaster, I loved it!

Haha... when I was in the tunnel, it was loud and it seemed like it would never end. Plus, I was expecting to see the Lochness Monster in it.

Yeah me too. Too bad they dont put something in the tunnel to make it more interesting. A Loch Ness Monster AA would be awesome!

Everyone I know that has ridden this, they told me there was a big, scary Lochness Monster head in the tunnel, I didnt know what to expect, but I rode this at night. What was the tunnel, a double helix?

Are the Eyes not working. normaly the tunnal ahs lights and sound efects. toards th end you see two big green eyes. was that not runing. anyways I liek the tunnel. better then havign a triple helixe out side.

I agree mrceagle. But i didnt see any lights or hear any sounds

I asked my brother, when he went last time th elights were shut off bu tth esounds were working. the sounds and light made the tunnel for me.

The neat thing about the tunnel... when the lights are not working quite correctly and some of the "emergency" lights (if this is what you would call them) are on and you can actually see the track in the tunnel. Talk about head chopper effects! That beats the "glowing eyes" any day.

That would be cool I gues. i like the hole Monster aspects of the tunnel
Danny on 6/16/2003 3:07:42 PM said:

The ride took out the monster and the loud music last time I rode the ride. I can defenatly remember the lights and effects from the visit before that though, and I liked them too.

It jsut added to teh tunnel and the coaster so much. the helixis were like getign raped up ina coile almost liek in a snake.

The tunnel is the highlight of the ride. The lights and sound effects in the tunnel were awesome If they took them out then that was extremely foolish.

It more seems that they are there but not always runing.

Can anyone see the actual tunnel outside? Like standing somewhere in the park and seeing it?
Danny on 6/23/2003 3:30:39 PM said:
For some reason, I think I did see it at one spot in the park. I dont remember where it was though...

I saw it! I was on the skyride and I just caught the train going into the tunnel. It looks like a cave with a huge hole in the middle!
