Review of Millennium Force @ Cedar Point
6 Rating Posted by: SaRa716 on 4/14/2003 11:55:00 AM
Wow....I may only be 15 but I know a good coaster when I see one! This monster was the whole reason I went to Cedar Point! Being 15 I couldnt just jump in a car and go to Cedar Point.(ecspecially since I live in New York)So I spent all year trying to convince my parents to go.Let me tell you, it wasnt easy. After months and MONTHS of begging and pleading my dream came true: We were booked for 2 days at Lighthouse Point! I was ecstatic. All I thought about in school was Cedar Point and riding the Millennium Force. Time ticked by slowly but finally I was there. When I saw The Millennium Force driving down the causeway I freaked out. I was like Whhhoa, im not going on that thing! Look at it! Its huge!!! That day I stalled going on it by going on the other rollercoasters...but the next day was my last day there so I couldnt wait forever. Even though I was terrified my sister (shes 13) who wasnt in the least bit scared pushed me to go on. It was really hot so they were selling ice in the queue and the fans were blowing everywhere. ( I think the heat made me a little bit rude because when we were in line a couple behind me was talking about how the Millennium Force had a 70 degree angle and I snapped saying it was an 80 degree angle... heehee) Well, eventually I was getting into the yellow car on the Millennium Force. Surprisingly, I wasnt as scared as I was in line till my sister started crying when we were going uphill saying she was scared and wanted to get off. There went my emotional support and it got me just petrified. Soon we were at the 310 ft hill looking down. As my hands clutched to the handlebar I screamed on the top of my lungs. It was amazing, breathtaking, astonishing, whatever you want to call it. It was such an adreneline rush. 94 mph of just pure chaos. It was the happiest 2:00 (minutes) of my life. The hills were spectacular and everything was just so smooth you felt as if you were flying. Soon though, it was over. No rollercoaster will ever top the feeling this one gave me. If you go to Cedar Point, GO ON THIS RIDE!!! No one can stress this enough! Its literally :jawdrop: (jaw dropping)This will blow your mind away. Trust me, every minute and hour of torture in the queue is worth the joy youll recieve on this giant!!!!!!!
(Sorry so long!)

Im 15 myself and I am still trying to push my parents to take me to Cedar Point so I can ride this beast. But me and you are pretty much in the same boat because I live in South Florida and the only thing I can really do is convince my parents to go to Islands Of Adventure. But I am still pushing and we might go. Awesome review.

I must say that your review is one of the best Ive seen!! I kinda liked the story leading up to it. Awesome job! Ya, I made it to Cedar Point last year for the first time and the whole park just blew me away!! As a coaster freak, it was like paradise to me there. But of all the rides/coasters they have, Millennium Force stands far above them all - this coaster is in a whole world all its own. Im already booked at Hotel Breakers for this year in August, and although TTD will be off the charts, MF will still be one of my all-time favorites!! Which is why it is my #1 ride.

This is incredibly similar to the experience I had when I went. I was 15, but it didnt take much convincing to get my parents to take me because they too are fanatics, I was freaked out in line and the fact that a fight broke out between one very large and angry mexican and a smaller white kid, when I got to the station I got into the red train. I was sitting next to my sister who was fine as usual. My sister has never gotten scared on anything before. She was fine when it started, but once we started moving up the lift hill she was leaning into the middle and grasping the bar in front of my seat. I was fine once I got on the ride so going up the hill was incredible for me. Finally we reached the top. I threw my hands up and the hill seemed to last for an eternity. It was incredible. An experience that is not comparable to anything on any other ride. When I got off the ride, my entire body was shaking for about 2 minutes after riding. Your review just brought back those memories, great review.

Thanks again!!lol. Its paradise to me to to be there. If I had one wish it would be that I could be Bill Gates for a year and rent out a cottage at Cedar Point year round...i know, im on the verge of pathetic,lol....nehoo, I wish my parents were fanatics! My mom hates any ride faster than the carosal, and my dad cant ride any because he hurt his back, my sister thinks rollercoasters are okay, but she isnt obsessed like i am...im all alone in my coaster craze, lol. I wish I wouldve seen that fight!lol....thanks again people that reviewed!!

I rode this ride a few weeks ago (Im 14 by the way) and it made me change my origial ratings for some other coasters I had ridden. By the way, that has to be the longest review Ive ever seen in my life lol. Awesome!

Try not to sugarcoat it, SaRa. Tell us what you really thought. Hoping I too shall make it out to Ohio again sometime...

Im not sugarcoating it at all, I loved it

I believe by "sugar coat" praxis meant that you might want to scale down your review. Review Millennium Force only and save the other Cedar Point details for elsewhere. Aside from all of that, its an accurate review.

Well, by the first 2 sentences in my comment, I was merely saying that SaRa sure doesnt hold back in his (?) reviews! Im also kinda wondering how you got that funky jaw-dropping emoticon.

Im feeling what your saying about being young and convincing your parents to take you up there. Luckily, Im 16 now and I can drive to the park. Also, I only live 5 hours away.

Young people can accomplish great things. Im 16 and I organized a trip to Cedar Point in a couple weeks with my youth ministry at church. Im ONLY 3 hours away!! I cant wait to ride TTD. I still got to ride Wicked Twister (Im slacking

LUCKY! I actually asked to go to Cedar Point with my youth group but we couldnt. we have this really old church van we travel on that backfires a lot and breaks down every other week and were five hours away so i dont think it wouldve made it that far. It was too much money for them anyway. Im also slacking,i need to ride wicked twister too, we only had a couple hour left when i went last year and it was either MF or WT, i chose MF. Have fun at Cedar Point!

thanx. i dont think you have to worry bout not having fun! even if i go on the rides alone, im still goin to have the time of my life. im happy my paycheck is big enough to support the ticket and other souvenirs. (whats sad is i havent been to any park since 2001 and im only one hour away from kings island so im very excited)
