i think it is dissapointing it onle has one inversion. for a while i thought it had 2, a barrel roll after the loop but i guess not. ill have to see how good it is for myself. the launch does look good.

i acctually thought the same thing, about the barrle roll i mean...but with only one inversion (a BIG one, but one none the less) it is still a great ride.

i believe that, it seems to be the favorite right of Vegas, but i would much rather take Manhattan over Speed...if i had the choice that is. but thats my opinion, thats just me.

my mother and my sis but with these types of vacas i usually have control over hwat we do so im gonna try to convince them to get a cab to go out there. hell i convinced them to go to Vegas. theyd never even thought about it before. took me a couple months tho.

i got lucky, my grandfather (mothers side) is apparently a video slot addict! so my mom took him to Vegas, and thought i id like to come along for the ride. now its my favorite city in the whole world!!! especially cause of the rides. i usually have control over MY part of the vacations, im allowed to go where i want and do what i want...but most of the time those thing have linitations!!! i mena i stayed at the MGM the first time i went, and i went on just about every ride, and all the hotels by myself! i just got money, and walked u[ and down the strip for 4 days!!! but watch it, the strip is a dangerous place, especially at night. plus it is so freakin LONG. have fun

This simply put is the best ride in vegas, even over Big shot which is awesome too. The first launch is a religious experience, the overbank is intense and the loop is ecstacy, and who can deny several seconds of weightlessness on the tower. I sure cant.
RAM20884 on 4/1/2003 8:04:30 PM said:
sounds like a great ride. dangerous? i hear the strip is long so ill take a cavb to most places. now i hear MGM has an amusement park behind it, what that all about?
CoasterMac on 4/2/2003 8:52:43 AM said:
um...yeah...i heard that to. u can take monorails to it. there is a monorail from Luxor to Excalibur, then its just a walk over the bridge to NY, NY. and another walk over the bridge to MGM Grand. i dont know what to tell u botu MGMs "theme prak". it hasnt been operating, from what i understand, for at least 2 or 3 years!! i dont know why they even still have the thing! if u take the monorail from MGM to ballys (to go further down the strip) then u can see the park, and even see the rollercoaster. its not an impresive coaster, looks to me to just be a junior, or maybe a mine ride, but the fact is that is is there, that cant be ignored or denyed! there is also a Skycoaster, which is one of the biggest iv ever seen, i wanted to do it so bad, but i think the park is closed, y, i just dont know!
RAM20884 on 4/2/2003 2:36:20 PM said:
why is the strip dangerous. so i guess the park wont be open. i saw the coaster on rcdb, nothin special but the skycoaster sounds fun. ive only ridden the one at SFNE and i loved it.
CoasterMac on 4/2/2003 5:35:43 PM said:
never got to ride the one at SFNE, iv riden a skycoaster like it though. iv only riden two, at SFDL and PKD. the one at PKD is a few feet smaller, and not as scary, but it was my frist, and scary as hell the first time i rode it!! the one at SFDL is scarier because its right over water, now thats a great idea! The strip is a dangerous place because there are muggers, rapers, and vandals, thats why. iv heard stories about things happening, to very close friends of mine, my best friends and my relatives too for that matter. iv been lucky, but im just giving u fair warning to be on ur gaurd. im not sayin somethin will happen, just be careful thats all im sayin, for ur sake and for ur family. i gotta check out that coaster on rcdb, havent seen that one. i dont think itll be open, no, but if it is let me know!
RAM20884 on 4/2/2003 8:02:54 PM said:
i doubt itll be open but with its closer means possible expansion. vegas seems to be investin in thrill rides so maybe a coaster will be inbstalled to compete with manhattan express.
CoasterMac on 4/3/2003 3:58:38 PM said:
of everything MGM has, they should build a coaster, maybe a good hyper, thats somethin Vegas, the strip i mean, could really use. they have plenty of other rides. Stratosphere, where Big Shot and High roller are, was thinking about puting in a 450 ft. coaster that would have gone right over the strip!!! they apparently couldnt get the ok for it, just like everything else, because the "neighbors" complained not to have it...i think thats y at least!
RAM20884 on 4/3/2003 4:44:42 PM said:
i saw the design for that coaster and although it woulda provided a great thrill it woulda ruined the look of the building so im kinda glad. tru the strip doesnt have a hyper but vegas does. im noit against a hyper bein built since i love hypers but itd have to compete with desperado which is like 90mph. the strip has a corkscrew/looping coaster, a launched an shuttle coaster and vegas has a hyper. do somethin new. inverted, flying or, although i think itd be out of place at the MGM, big wood. i just got an idea. the stratosphgere should tear out high roller and make it a flying coaster. hangin 900ft in the air would be great.
CoasterMac on 4/3/2003 8:06:03 PM said:
whoa...dude u should get into the business. thats one of the best ideas iv ever heard!! so awesome! ur right, they should get something new, a good flying would hurt, and a woodie might even compliment the high-tech rides that are current! course, in true Vegas style, it would have to be a tall wood, with a loop! that would be cool!! maybe, just try this on for size, maybe a fourth-dimension. sound good. i talked to a friend today, she goes to Vegas once, twice a year and stays at the MGM pretty much every time. she said yeah the park there is closed but, she got to go when it was open, and it kicked ass. i hate her for it cause i never go to go, but thats the scoop with that. MGM could trash that and put a great huge coaster back there, maybe a couple of flats to, just to compliment it eh?!!
RAM20884 on 4/3/2003 9:43:47 PM said:
well it seems every1 hates high rooler and thatd make it better. n e wayt, i know the koliday in has a maodel wood coaster out front. they could always make it real. id say buffalo bills woulda been the best place for a woodie ciuz i cant picture it at any other park. i say the next hotel that creates one should go inverted.
CoasterMac on 4/9/2003 10:37:44 AM said:
yeah, that would be a good idea, and ur right about a wooden at Buffalo Bills, i would have found my way out there if they had had one!
RAM20884 on 4/9/2003 2:46:28 PM said:
ill still prob go out there. hypers are gret i love them but when i think buffalo bills i think a wood coaster. o well, still looks good. like i said i think the holiday inn has a model wood coaster that looks like its from a 20s boardwalk. they should just build a real one. the imperial palace looks dumb so i think they should re-do it and they could add a coaster. it just seems like itd be good to have an inverted coaster themed like to dragons. Steel Dragon or somethin.
