Review of Old Mill Pond Water Bumper Boats @ Clarks Trading Post

Standard bumper boats nothing special. These boats do have a special squirt feature which was turned off when I went in October. Things like the squirt feature sound like a good idea but arent too special and may be annoying to some.

Not bad when your on them. but you always get a few they spray the peaple walking along the walk way next to it. i would rather re this removed and a carausel inslated in its place.

That is a very good idea, it fit the park better.

I have acualy sent them links to carausel companys, Brass rings being the one I would prefer. and I sugest it every time I go to the park.

Well thats a good idea but buying a ride is a several thousand dollar preposition. Also I would actully rather this be a bumper boat ride because I can go on plenty of carosels at other parks. They do though have one of the few working "carosel music makers" near the enterence of the park.

I know it plays all day. the thing is the bumper boats arent very popular. so they could get read of them in order to aply the money tords the Carausel. buthey have alot of room and could instal it anywere. The park makes good mony and alot of the work is don in family. also the carauseld i sent then are 1920-30 and a dew are steam driven and still have the organs.

Well they dont need either a bumper boat or carosel. From a financial stand point they should put in one of those big swing things that are upcharge rides at the Six Flags parks.
mrceagle on 2/7/2003 10:45:19 PM said:
They make moe then enuff money. its 9 to get in 90% of the peaple that go buy food and then 50% will buy some sort of suviner. they would install adn upcharge like that because it would fit in the look and feel of the park.
DmctNY8 on 2/8/2003 11:26:46 AM said:
I am assuming you meant they wouldnt install but anyway a big swing ride would be no less fitting then a bumper boat ride.

Stick to incore atractions. the Carausel, a small dark ride if they realy want to expand kneak through a secorate passagway into Wolfmans unubtainium mine. a mine train coaster. all would fit. a 3D show. I dont plan on them doing most of this thow. and an update its $10.00 to get in. They also have one of the best old time photo emporiums around.

A coaster or 3d show would probably cost to much to be profitable for such a small market park.
mrceagle on 2/9/2003 12:43:45 AM said:
What small market the only area more populare is Salem do to Rockingham park(hourse race track) and Canobie lakepark) and Nashua for the shoping. the area laways has buisness and hell Santas Village the least known NH park intradused a 3D movie just this year. The movie isnt the coast its the extras that do. if it was 3D+(4D) then the price shuts up. If they play their cards right they couldl get a good coaste rfor around a mill. if they only get 100 peaple per day they can pay it off in 6 years. a fun house would also se a good attraction for clarks.

I didnt know Santas Village got a 3D show, what was it about. But in reality Clarks is a very small market park.
mrceagle on 2/9/2003 4:53:40 PM said:
Clarks if the easyist park to get to in the white mountains. Santas Village and Story land are both a bit off the beaten path so to say. yes compared to Canobie, SFNE, and Compounce it is a small market. but they can suport it. and yes SV got a 3D movie(custom) cristmas based. Efistedias Tinckerdoodle is santas new assistant,a nd fron their things go arie. ill post a trip report and talk abotut he parka nd its atractions.
DmctNY8 on 2/9/2003 4:58:57 PM said:
Okay thanks for the trip report. We actully did run into Santas village and changed drivers in the parking lot. When we passed by it was their last weekend of the year, but we didnt go.

mrceagle on 2/9/2003 9:07:53 PM said:
its posted its kinda long but the park is talk about in the first part and teh 3D show on the replay. i forgot to saw that the only bad thing about the park is the food.
DmctNY8 on 2/9/2003 10:47:36 PM said:
Ive only been to one park with good food, that was Quasy.
mrceagle on 2/9/2003 11:04:40 PM said:
Canobies ifs hit or miss some things are really goand some are not. Busch parks have the best food thow, flowed closly by Disney
DmctNY8 on 2/9/2003 11:48:44 PM said:
Disney has good food for a (large) price.
mrceagle on 2/10/2003 12:41:49 AM said:
verry true. but parks tends to be over priced on food mo mater where you go.
DmctNY8 on 2/10/2003 11:49:12 AM said:
Yeah but some are worse than others. Trimpers is one of the few parks with fiar food prices. Six Flags parks arent too bad if you have coupons.
mrceagle on 2/10/2003 1:26:28 PM said:
but the coupons are for things like buy one get one free turky legs. their mostly usless. the SF parks are verry expensive compared to the local parks hear.
DmctNY8 on 2/10/2003 5:08:25 PM said:
I dont know about New Hampshire but the Six Flags parks are cheaper than our local park. Playland.
mrceagle on 2/10/2003 7:15:12 PM said:
Every parkin nh is cheaper and has a better value, Lake compounce is a fantastic value for food.
