This review does not tell me at all why you like or dislike this ride. MORE INFORMATION PLEASE!

Eh, He summed it up fine.

It is a seven word review. It tells me nothing about why he rated as he did, good or bad. Why does he think it deserves a seven and not a six or nine? He does not tell how he feels about the ride, he just states a generally excepted opinion.

On a ride rated so great by everyone else, I two am curiuse on why he gave it a 7 what aboutt eh ride brought the rating down to that rating. the "still a classic after all these years." tells me nothing exept he likes the ride. why not a ten then.

No kidding, mrceagle - seeing as how that 7 brought the overall rating down, lets have a little explanation. To each his own, but really? A 7??? Why?

I think he made his rating match how many words were in his review.

Is this person ever around or is this a bogus review?

Well, considering he has not be onsite since Jan. 03, I would say it is an honest review, but this guy just never hung out. This is why I think reviews should have an expiration on them, like after one year, the rating no long counts, but the review will remain up with a notation. An update on the review would make the rating good for another year. I dont know who easy that would be to program, but I hope it is something Mark is thinking about in his next version of the site.

It wouldnt be easy. mark did suject doing it a couple years ago. It may be on this next version. This should be looked into. around this time we were having allot of peaple that were fprgeting to change the raiting and just reviewing the ride. The result was allo tof temp. 5s.

IMO, since there is already a time stamp on the latest update, and the original review time, I dont think that implementing it in any new algorithm would be excessively difficult, its just that how many of the rides have new, fresh reviews. I like the idea, but a ton of the reviews would be lost.

But keep inmind that users on the site that are active will still need a reminder or somthing of that sort. I have been trying to update my reviews. some are by this point 2 years old or more. its hard to get around to them. especially wen you have allot like I do.
BobFunland on 11/16/2004 3:47:53 PM said:
I dond know what your point is, because I know what I reviewed three years ago, and I know what I reviewed three months ago.

True but try geting to my point 312 in 3 years and 9 months. Its not easy for every one. many dont ave the photographic memory you have. a reminder woudl need to be set up for thore many peaple that cant remember which ones are needed to be updated.
