Review of Thunderbolt @ Six Flags New England
0 Rating Posted by: ILoveWood on 8/28/2002 2:54:00 PM
The key word for this 1940 built woodie is "fun". Based on a design from a coaster at the 1939 New York Worlds Fair, Thunderbolt was never meant to be a "frightener", just a fun ride with surprising amounts of floater air time toward the end of the ride, especially on the last bunny hill. My only complaint is that Six Flags should get rid of the excessive restraints, namely seat dividers and seat belts. Thunderbolt could then be an "ACE" Coaster Classic once more, giving people the kind of ride I had on my first time back in the 70s.
P.S. Its interesting to note that the drop on Thunderbolt is about 45 degrees, the same as the ASCENT up the lift hill on the new Batman The Dark Knight. How things have changed since Thunderbolt was created!!!

This is a great review which clearly shows how things have changed over the years. One thing I will add.....why post a response to this review with such crude language? No need for that!
