I had been warned that I should ride Gemini before experiencing the faster rides like Magnum and Millenium Force. Perhaps my mistake was in riding the Blue Streak and Raptor prior to making my way to this dual racing coaster. Im sorry, but I thought that the Gemini was extremely boring. It had so many level turns where nothing happened--they were uneventful breaks in the action that were so slow, they didnt even build anticipation. It was like spurt-pause-spurt-pause-spurt-pause-spurt. Gemini just didnt do anything for me. Ill take the incredible air time of the Blue Streak over it any day.

It was during those turns that you were suppose to reach your hand out to slap the hands of the people in the opposing train. That is one aspect of Gemini that makes it alot of fun for me and that is why I try to sit towards the side that gets to hand slap.

Yea... I dont know what you missed about this ride. I really was not expecting too much from this ride but I thought it definatly delivered. I dont think anything about this ride was slow.

Gemini has lots and lots of airtime. Unfortunately, thats all it has. Im not saying its a bad ride. But it sure isnt a great one. Although a 5 is a little low.

Why is magnum sooooo great?? I didnt see it. I rode it I dont see what all the hype is about. Thats all Magnum is. HYPE!!!! Its rides like what it is. A 13 year old Arrow coaster. Gemini was build in 1978 and it still is very smooth and offers a great ride.

Are you kidding me? Magnum is AIRTIME AIRTIME AND MORE AIRTIME. The airtime hurts sometimes and it has nice lateral Gs which Gemini doesnt! So I would have to say that magnum is more of a wooden coaster (has more elements of one) than Gemini.

Its has more elements I will admit. It has a better layout I will admit. Its a little faster I will admit. However theres one thing you must admit. Its way too rough. There were many things would have liked to like about magnum but it was soooooo rough I really could not concetrate on them. Also the restaints are very unconfortable. Maybe I sat in the wrong place but from what I could see it was not a pleasent experience as Gemini was.

A little faster? Try over 15-20 miles faster! And stop being such a crybaby! Some rides beat you up, so what. Thats why I all Magnum, The Stood Coaster(Steel and Wood combined). It is a steel look, but the feel is that of a crazy, out of control wooden coaster. And that kind of coaster is great!

I cant admit that Magnum is way too rough, because to me, it isnt. Even in the very last row, its not that rough to me. Its uncomfortable, yes, and not exactly smooth, but nothing serious. Its just that people have become spoiled by B&M. Like someone on CoasterBuzz once said, "Magnum is the last of the "meat and potatoes" coasters."

Top speed on Magnum is 72 Gemini is 63. Thats not too much of a difference. Magnum is rough. Steel coaster are not suppose to be that rough. Its a good ride but it does not deserve all the credit its gets. maybe it did in 1998 but now it does not.

HA! You obviously do not know your facts. Gemini barely reaches the speed of 60mph. And yes Magnum gets up to 72mph. And 12mph is a big difference! You really have to be crazy to say that Magnum doesnt deserve the credit! I have rode that ride front and back, and the roughness is good. Magnum is one of a kind, and coasters like that are always good.

The MPHs you are right about making a difference. But thats all I can give you. If Magnum was a great coaster I would have no problem saying it. I was looking for it to be a great coaster. I was not expecting too much out of gemini and it totally took me by surprise. Maybe the next time I make it to Cedar Point Ill have a different opinion about the ride but until then thats my opinon.

I rode Magnum once 1st thing in the morning in the 1st seat of the last car. I rode gemini twice once in the front and once in the back.
