I rode the Hurricane Hoosier on 07/04/2014 ( 5 ) times. The first two times I rode it I was not impressed. I sat on the right side both times and found the ride to be very shaky and almost to the point of being unenjoyable. Then I find out about sitting on the left hand side. Then I found out about the back seat and sitting on the left! Let me tell you the ride was much smoother and I was able to get incredible air time as I wasn't worried about holding on for my life. At one point I thought to myself, "This may be even better than the Cornball Express!" Although that may not be true, I would definetly say that Hurricane Hoosier doesn't play 2nd fiddle to Cornball Express. It has it's own fun packed and delivered in a different method, but fun all the same.

this ride is fast, shakey, sharp turns, a lot of hills, steep drops, it is PERFECT!!!!!!!!!

While this coaster plays second fiddle to cornball express, it is not to be overlooked. It has a great setting and gets some decent airtime. I would ride this before cornball express because it probably won't seem as good afterward but this is still a very good woodie.

Although it does not provide a lot of air, especially for an out-and-back, the setting of this coaster earns it a point. It also has some good speed entering the turnaround, which it unfortunately loses a lot of before entering the anticlimactic return journey. If it had better speed coming back and better airtime hills, this thing could be a beast. Alas, it is what it is, which is a good but not great woodie with less airtime than its twister neighbor that shares the same structure.

Fun wooden coaster, though not nearly as good as Cornball. The lift hill gave great views and the first drop was really good as it gave good ejector air. Following that were small hills with no air time and then a great drop that ejected back seat riders. Then came a turnaround with another air time producing drop and then a series of bunny hills, in which a select few gave nice air for back seat riders. Front seat rides on this coaster had almost no air, but the back-seat gave great air throughout.

I am a fan of Out And Backs, and Hoosier is no exception. This thing had some airtime, thanks in part to the Buzz Bars on the PTC trains. True, it aint no Shivering Timbers (Michigans Adventure), but it was still good.

I rode this to get the credit, and then quickly went back to Cornball. The best part about this ride is that it gives you a great view of the park and lake. It looks so nice from up there on the lift hill with the Sun reflecting off the lake. I also enjoy how the Hoosier Hurricane is partially built out over the lake. Of course, great use of space doesnt necessary make for a great ride. This ride just isnt that thrilling. Theres no airtime to speak of, especially when compared to the adjacent Cornball Express. It also feels slow at points. I was hoping for a lot more.

An early CCI that reminded me more of a glorified John Allen creation than of a CCI ride. The air was mild compared to other CCIs and the layout wasnt awesome but still cool for the way it adjusts for the pre-existing structures and dives under and hops over things. I like the speed, I enjoyed the ride but it just never floored me even though it was very enjoyable and pleasing.
