A must ride if you're at SDC. This type of multi looping coaster seems to scare a lot of people (it does look pretty intimidating from the parking lot) but Wildfire is so smooth and graceful, it's like you're flying. The seats are super comfy and elevated so you legs can swing freely. The coaster is also deceptively tall, with a drop greater than the lift hill due to the ground slope. Much of the ride is actually below the station. If you like your airtime machines this might not be your favorite as it is very inversion based. And yes there are more intense and more exotic coasters out there, but still I think it'd be pretty hard to ride this and not enjoy it it's just flat fun. It's also probably on of the most photogenic coasters out there. amyone who loves them a good B&M coaster can't miss it.

Its a great ride and the first hill you swear your going to fall out. But the Batwing, and the other custom made loops make this ride excellent for riders who love going upside down! Did i mention the ozark mountains surrounding the ride below? This is an average great steel rollercoaster with great scenery. The only thing i may add is the G-force is a little hard on the body and the breaking at the end may hurt you if you dont prepare your self for it.

A very nice steel coaster. I was surprised by how smooth it was despite how many loops it had.

I absolutely hate roller coasters like this but I have ridden it. My family loves it and everyone has a great time. Many times the line is very long though.

Date Ridden: May of 2007 Times Ridden: 5 in a wide range of seats including once in the front and twice in the back. Wildfire is a very solid B and M sit down looper located in a gorgeous area of the country. I am well aware that SDC is not known for its thrill rides. The park was packed on the day we went, but Wildfire was a walk-on as there were a number of elderly visitors interested only in the numerous exhibits and shows. Two trains were being run and there was no problem in getting numerous rides. The ride ops were even nice enough once our ride was over to let us off and line up on the side we exited at in order to fill in empty seats on the next train. I never left the station in getting my 5 consecutive rides. What about the ride itself? Well, my favorite part was the initial drop into the large loop. I was surprised at the length of the drop (in excess of 100 feet)and was pleased with the ride overall. The corkscrews at the end were a little uncomfortable which makes this ride a slight step below other B and M loopers like Hulk and Kumba. However, I am going with the 9 because, once again, the location and visuals are worth a bump up. The coaster itself is probably an 8 but located on the side of a mountain giving a beautiful view of the Ozarks is worth an extra point. An 8.5 would probably be a little closer to the truth, but I had tons of fun gettting re-rides as well as enjoying the view. I defnitely recommend this as a coaster to ride on the front row thanks to visuals. Take a trip out to Silver Dollar City and enjoy this little B and M gem in the heart of the mountains.

WIldfire makes my top 10 list because of the breathtaking view of the valley from the top of the first hill. Also, because it is equally as fun in the front as in the back (something I think many B&M coasters lack). It may be short, but the view more than makes up or it.

This coaster has a beautiful drop right off the side of the mountain followed by some typical B&M inversions. This coaster is a fun ride but just doesnt have the same intensity level as some of B&Ms other coasters. The biggest downside of the ride is its length. I really expected more from Wildfire.

One of the most unspoken and underestimated B&M coasters in my opinion. This coaster is amazing. The park takes such good care of it. One of the most beautiful coasters I have ever ridden, judging from the view at the top of the lift. The unique sequence of inversions is awesome also.
